Many Hopes Lie Here...

As I was filling some photo requests yesterday, I noticed one of the epitaphs on one of the headstones. It said, "Many hopes lie buried here." Later in the day and in the same cemetery, I noticed a similar epitaph. Epitaphs like this make you think about your own life and your own hopes and dreams, especially ones we put off. I hope my own epitaph will not read the same.

Weston Cemetery

Today I was going to go and fulfill some photo requests in the Weston Cemetery in Weston, OH. However, the library was closed (so I couldn't use the cemetery indexes) and the locations someone gave me for the two I went out to Weston for were incorrect. Since I made the drive out to Weston (about 15 minutes from where I live), I decided to just take some photos of things that struck me. I ended up taking over 70 photos and added over 20 new entries on Find a Grave for the cemetery.

Rain Won't Stop Me...

I had planned to do some volunteer photos today since I had a few requests waiting in my inbox this morning, but we had a series of severe thunderstorms roll through the area. However, I was able to get out in between storms and almost got caught in the one. Here are some I took today.

Almost got caught in the storm (notice the the dark clouds in the background). I still had a few more to do after this, but I managed to get all my photos.

Spring/Summer is Here!

My schedule and the weather have finally allowed me to take some of my first photos of the season with hopefully many more to continue! I left these photos unedited because of the detailing on the photos and the light was beautiful!

Adventures in Ohio!

Sorry for the long absence! Lots of changes in my life including moving to Ohio. I have been doing lots of volunteer photos, so I have been getting acquainted with some of the local cemeteries in the area. Here are some photos from my adventures.
